Our entire learning community shared in the wonder of fall with a spook-tacular Pumpkin Patch Day!
While we missed our annual visit to the farm to pick pumpkins, we couldn’t let that get us down and brought the pumpkin fun to school! Our students enjoyed picking pumpkins at their very own Pumpkin Patch! Not only is picking pumpkins a fun traditional fall activity, but it also provides us a great opportunity to incorporate pumpkins into our day to day activities. Classrooms throughout the school used pumpkins in fun science activities, like the exploding pumpkin volcano of our preschool class, or art activities, or even literacy as they scooped out pumpkin seeds and used them to trace letters. The fun never stops at WKA!
