Led by our Preschool and Pre-K students, our WKA Community joined together to enjoy an All-School Assembly to celebrate Black History Month. At WKA we strive to celebrate diversity in the classroom and throughout the school. While our classrooms often talk about our many different cultural backgrounds through studies such as the Around the World Study, we also strive to highlight important annual observances such as Black History Month. During our assembly, our students were able to present on important and influential members of the African-American community, including Barack Obama, Michael Jordan, and Rosa Parks!
